Tips for accurate measurements
Consistency is key. Take your measurements at the same time of day (ideally in the morning before eating), using the same tape measure, and standing in the same position each time.
Neck: Measure around the middle of your neck, just below the Adam's apple. Keep the tape level and snug but not tight.
Chest: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape level under your arms and across your shoulder blades.
Waist: Measure at the narrowest point of your torso, usually just above the belly button. Breathe out naturally and don't suck in.
Hips: Measure around the widest part of your hips and buttocks, keeping the tape level all the way around.
Arms: Measure around the largest part of your upper arm (bicep area) with your arm relaxed at your side.
Thighs: Measure around the largest part of your upper thigh, just below the crease of your hip.
General tips: Use a flexible cloth tape measure. Pull it snug against the skin but don't compress the tissue. Take each measurement twice and use the average for best accuracy. Track every 1–2 weeks rather than daily to see meaningful changes.
